Deputy Chief Executive - English Federation of Disability Sport

Salary: c£60,000

Location: Loughborough / Manchester

The English Federation of Disability Sport (EFDS) works to make active lives possible by enabling organisations to support individual disabled people to be active and stay active for life. Their work results in enhanced health and wellbeing for disabled people, and a more equal society in which disabled people can achieve more through increased opportunities and choice.

Following a strategic review of the organisation, EFDS has created the new role of Deputy Chief Executive, which will have oversight of the organisation’s corporate services, as well as marketing & communications, research & insight and event management.

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • A close alignment with the vision and work of EFDS
  • Experience of working at senior management team level in the commercial, charity or public sector
  • Successful leadership of business development
  • Significant experience of corporate and financial services

This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual to bring their commercial skills to a strong growth area within the charity sector. The role also plays a key role in EFDS’s succession planning, providing plenty of scope for professional development.

EFDS is determined to ensure that disabled people continue to be well represented across the organisation and within its leadership, so is keen to receive applications from disabled people and/or people with long term health conditions.

All reasonable adjustments will be made throughout the recruitment process and following appointment to the role for people who need them.

This information is available in Word format but please let us know if you have other communication requirements. If you would like to find out more about this unique opportunity please email Jenny Hills or call on 0207 820 7321.

The closing date for applications is Monday 24 October 2016.
